A place where nature, home-cooked flavors
and care for development create a safe space for children.
Join our starry family!
For 22 years, we have been building a place
children return to with joy
and parents with peace of mind.
Our goal is to create a preschool
where children feel safe, calm, and can develop
at their own pace. We build our everyday life on relationships,
mindfulness, and simplicity.
We give children time for free play, for movement,
and for boredom, which is often the beginning of creativity.
We do not rush or overstimulate; for us, the daily rhythm is
more important than the number of attractions.
A great asset of our preschool is the large, green garden, which we use every day, regardless of the season. It is there that children have space for natural activity, experiencing nature, and staying in touch with nature, which is the best teacher.
At our preschool we have our own
kitchen, where we prepare
fresh, home-cooked meals for children every day. We cook on-site,
taking care of ingredient quality, natural
flavor, and a balanced diet that supports the
development of the youngest.
We use traditional methods
of food preparation — we ferment vegetables,
prepare homemade preserves, bake
yeast cakes and rolls, and many products,
such as fruit jelly or pudding, are made
from scratch in our kitchen. In season,
we use fresh fruits and vegetables, and any excess
we process so we can enjoy
the natural taste all year round.
In Kraków, air quality can be a challenge, which is why our rooms are equipped with professional air purifiers. We monitor pollution levels based on WIOŚ data.
Our team is made up of experienced, committed teachers who approach each child with care. We make sure to notice their talents, needs, and pace of development, providing support in a safe and kind atmosphere.
We draw inspiration from alternative pedagogy, including the Waldorf approach — natural materials, a calm atmosphere, and respect for children’s needs are close to us. We treat each child individually, with attention to their emotions, pace, and abilities.
We create a place
where children can simply be children — without pressure,
comparisons, or haste.
Starting the preschool journey is an important moment in a child’s life and the whole family’s. At our preschool, we see adaptation as a process that needs time, calm, and a sense of security. We accompany children and parents attentively — from the first meetings to the first independent days in September.
During the school year, we invite children enrolled in our preschool to adaptation classes “Little
Stars”, held regularly on Saturdays. Classes are led by our teachers,
so children gradually get to know the people, the space, and the daily rhythm that will become part of
their everyday life in September.
The parent also has an important role during these meetings. This is a time for conversation, asking questions,
and sharing concerns. We know that adults’ sense of calm is very important for a child, which is why
we make sure parents feel heard and supported.
At the end of the school year, we organize an adaptation week. During this time, children take part in
teacher-led activities, play in the classrooms and in the preschool garden. It is a moment of
gradually getting to know the space, rules, and daily rhythm in a natural way.
At the end of the summer, the last adaptation day takes place. Children watch a short performance prepared by
teachers, eat a shared lunch, and spend time in the garden. This experience helps the child
get used to the preschool and enter the new stage with a greater sense of confidence.
In September, the adaptation process is individualized, taking each child’s needs into account.
We gradually extend the time spent at preschool, carefully observing the child’s well-being and staying
in constant contact with parents.
If a child needs more time or support, we adjust the pace to their capabilities.
The most important thing for us is building a sense of safety and trust, which are the foundation for
functioning in the group later on.
September is also a time of close cooperation with parents. We talk about the child’s emotions, about what
helps them find their way in the new situation, and what may still be difficult. Parents can always turn to
us for a conversation or support — we also cooperate with psychologists, who are available
if needed.
Our experience shows that children find it easier to settle into preschool when they have the opportunity
to gradually develop independence — in eating, dressing, or using the toilet — at
their own pace and with adult support.
Parents’ attitude also matters a lot. Children read adults’ emotions very carefully —
calm, trust, and good cooperation between home and preschool help a child feel more confident
in the new situation.
A calm, attentive beginning creates solid foundations for the rest of the preschool journey.
Twenty years ago I went to preschool here. Now my daughter goes here. We travel here every day from the north of Kraków because it’s worth it! Dear parent, come and see how well cared for and safe the children feel here!
— Basia, Hania’s momI can recommend the preschool with a clear conscience. The child adapted almost immediately, the kitchen cooks very tasty food, which the child often repeats, and the atmosphere created by the teachers is truly warm, so we have no worries whether our child is in good hands.
— Mateusz, Kacperek’s dadA preschool full of joy and positive energy. The teachers are fully engaged in educating the youngest. This is a place where a child can be a child. Highly recommended!
— DavidThe best preschool! Wonderful, professional staff, a huge garden, and an on-site kitchen. Children love coming here :)

We started our activity in December 1962. For over half a century, many wonderful graduates have left the walls of our preschool. What makes us happiest? Many of them now bring their own children to us!
Since 1999, we have proudly carried the name "Pod gwiazdkami", and with each new year we strive to be an even better place for the development of new generations of little ones.
We focus on an individual approach to each child. Currently, our groups have up to 20 children.
Yes, our healthy kitchen is flexible. Because we cook on site, we can adjust meals to children’s individual dietary needs (after prior consultation).
We want the start to be gentle. We offer an adaptation program so that the child (and parent!) can gradually get used to the new place and group under the care of our staff.
Official enrollment in the city system starts in March, but as a non-public institution we accept applications all year round as long as we have available places. We recommend enrolling early.
Don’t wait until places are gone. Choose a preschool that cares about your child’s health, education, and smile.
